Rallying the troops

President Obama popped up in Afghanistan today for a surprise holiday visit to American troops. The trip comes at a time when Afghan leader Hamid Karzai is under increased scrutiny over corruption, with harsh criticism coming from the United States itself in diplomatic cables released by Wikileaks.

It also comes on a day when the monthly jobs report stunned economists, coming in way below expectations. Chuck Todd and Savannah Guthrie report, and Kevin Tibbles looks at the employment situation on the ground on Main Street.

Also, the first murder in Florida's "perfect" planned community of Celebration; and a firefighter Making A Difference for his colleagues and beyond, in a way you might not expect.
