| Tonight on NBC Nightly News The Northeast is digging out from a monster winter storm that's been a total disaster for thousands of travelers trying to make it home from Christmas trips or get to their New Year's holiday. New York City took the full force of a storm that closed the airports and left historic snow totals in its wake, bringing local transportation to a standstill as well. Brian Williams reports from snowbound Rockefeller Plaza, and Lester Holt, Jeff Rossen, the Weather Channel's Mike Seidel and Michelle Kosinski have the latest on the blizzard and all the fallout.
