Last.fm Trends: Miley Cyrus’ Tribute To Grunge
The song’s older than Miley herself, but how do the two acts compare among Last.fm listeners? Last.fm Trends is looking at the scrobbles of the two acts to find out.
Miley’s acquired 21,888,303 plays from 908,704 admirers overall, although it’s cryptic how abounding of these admirers would like to affirm themselves fans: one of her top tags is accusable pleasure. “Party In The U.S.A.” is her top track, with 2,222,543 scrobbles from 296,703 admirers overall, and is way out on top of her six-month chart.
Nirvana meanwhile count 120,890,534 plays from 2,834,992 listeners, dwarfing Miley’s popularity. “Smells Like Teen Spirit” still counts a steady amount of weekly listeners, and although many of her fans may not have heard it before, its popularity has never waned. In fact, Miley’s biggest track would only reach #15 on Nirvana’s six-month chart, as an indicator of the difference between them.
