Patton expresses concern on conservation of environment

Parliamentary secretary, Irrigation & Flood control, Geology & Mining, Border affairs, Y.Patton along with party workers at Tsungiki village on May 28.  
 


Wokha | May 28 : Parliamentary Secretary, Irrigation & Flood Control, Geology & Mining, Border affairs, Y.Patton two days official visit to six villages culminated today at Chukitong under Wokha district. The second day of his visit included the villages of Mungya, Tsungiki and Chukitong as part of 2013 state general election.
Earlier at Mungya village, Patton expressed the concern and policy of the state government on conservation of wildlife and forest urging the gathering to protect and maintain eco-friendly with wildlife, protect the forest and save the mother earth. The parliamentary secretary was annoyed with the kind of infrastructures made in the visited villages and said government does approve, sanction and release enough funds for development, however the constructions are done carelessly by the contractors/ constructions incharge and are later blamed on the sitting MLA or the government for shortfalls. Patton implanted the spirit of fair and honest lifestyle and urged to get rid of being narrow minded, greed and jealousy to stand before the society.
Considering himself as ‘The Father of Tiyi 37 A/c’, Patton alleged ‘ism’, be it clan, relatives or friends in politics will never find solution to any matter putting in more that though the support is least from the visited villages he said that he is responsible to look after his area/constituency.
Reiterating its stand on development, Patton strongly appealed the villagers to cooperate with the department and government and not to create obstruction to bring development in the area.
Joint director Irrigation & flood control, Arhomo Kikon highlighted the projects taken up under irrigation department like Kesung dimension stone model mine at Lungkhumchung, preservation of natural geological monuments and heritage sites at abode of death spirit spot at Tiyi Longchum, Mhoru Josu and Loroe Josu stone and Potso Mongphen site at Tsungiki/Chukitong, Tsutaophon at Koio, Zuhumki, Lungkhumchung sites, Natural stone markings at Kesung/Lungkhumchung also geological works for Sangphyia river under state plan covering both Englan and Chukitong range.
Kikon sought cooperation of the concerned villages where the projects are to be initiated. Having confident with the leadership of Patton in 37 A/c Wokha, Nlungtsu Ngullie, vice president Village congress committee, Old Changsu is also reported to have resigned from the membership of INC to work along with the NPF party. The parliamentary secretary was accompanied by a host of government officials and party workers from different units.
