It's time for a new party and new speaker to take the House—but what's the GOP's mission? Will itlook to repeal the last two years' legislation, or will it look ahead and govern? We'll ask Ron Christie, who served as an aide to Former Vice President Dick Cheney, and David Corn, Washington Bureau Chief for Mother Jones.
Then—President Obama is considering naming former Clinton Commerce Secretary Bill Daley as his Chief of Staff. Is it a nod to Clinton-era aspirations? Next—Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), the incoming chairman of the House Oversight Committee, is asking corporations and trade associations which regulations they'd like him to target! Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) is the top Democrat on that committee. We'll find out what he thinks tonight.
Plus—Tea Partiers are opposed to raising the debt limit, even if it causes the U.S. to default on obligations. Tonight, we'll ask our strategists, Todd Harris and Steve McMahon, if the Republican establishment can bring the Tea Party into the fold.
