Video: The first teaser for 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3'

It's official: the next Call of Duty game from Activision is indeed Modern Warfare 3.

The publisher unveiled a brief teaser showcasing the first-person shooter. While viewers won't catch any glimpses of the game in action, a description on the video's YouTube page notes battles in New York.

"Wasn't planned, but you're clearly hyped, so here is the first of many Modern Warfare 3 videos coming in hot today," said Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling on his Twitter feed.

The teaser follows a report from Kotaku with tons of detail on Modern Warfare 3, mostly focused on the single-player story.
